DARPA Award for Significant Technical Achievement
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) honored Viz with a
national award for outstanding technical achievement, choosing the revolutionary
"Command Post of the Future" (CPOF) system from more than 250 DARPA programs
and more than 1000 projects. Viz shares the award with its CPOF partners,
including the program's military expert, Gen. Keith Holcomb, USMC (Ret.),
and private companies GITI, IDA, ISX, Oculus, and Polexis. The Command Post of the Future program, which is
currently being deployed to Iraq, gives military commanders and staff a
radically better way to understand critical situations, coordinate their
expertise, and manage their response. For more information, see
Viz CPOF details, or more about the award.
